Where is Etive Estate located?
Etive Estate is located in Taynuilt, Argyll & Bute, on Scotland’s west coast, approximately 20 minutes from Oban and within easy reach of Glencoe and the wider Highlands.

How large is the estate?
The estate extends across approximately 350 acres of woodland, hillsides, lochside landscape and private grounds overlooking Loch Etive.

Is the estate exclusively yours during a stay or wedding?
Exclusive use options are available for weddings, retreats and selected private bookings. Please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.

Accommodation

What accommodation is available?
The estate offers a collection of detached homes, lodges and studio accommodation positioned across the estate, each designed to provide privacy, comfort and access to the surrounding landscape.

Do the properties have hot tubs?
Yes. All accommodation across the estate includes private hot tub facilities.

Is the accommodation pet friendly?
Yes. All accommodation across the estate is pet friendly. Please contact us before booking so we can recommend the most suitable property for your stay.

Is there parking available?
Yes. Private parking is available throughout the estate. Each property has parking available for several vehicles and we have parking for over 100 vehicles near the main house for weddings and events.

Do you offer direct bookings?
Yes. For the best possible rates direct bookings are recommended, available through The Etive Estate website and estate team. 

Weddings & Events

Do you host weddings?
Yes. Etive Estate is available for private weddings, including exclusive-use celebrations across the estate and grounds.

Do you offer wedding packages?

Not in the traditional sense. We prefer to create weddings around the couple rather than offering rigid “one size fits all” packages.

Whether you want an intimate elopement, a relaxed woodland celebration or a full weekend wedding, we’ll tailor the venue, accommodation and experience around your vision and budget.

Can ceremonies take place outdoors?
Yes. The estate offers multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, each positioned to take advantage of the surrounding landscape and views.

Do you offer extended wedding stays?
Yes. Many couples choose to extend celebrations across multiple days, including welcome dinners, post-wedding breakfasts and private gatherings.

Do you provide wedding planning?
We can recommend trusted local suppliers, planners and creatives, while allowing couples the flexibility to shape the day around their own vision. Our team at the estate can also help with planning your wedding. 

Can guests stay on-site?
Yes. On-site accommodation is available across multiple properties throughout the estate we are able to accommodate up to 82 guests. 

Fishing & Experiences

Is fishing available on the estate?
Yes. Fishing is available on the estate’s private loch, and on our private ponds at Otter Creek, through day passes, annual memberships and guided experiences.

Do you offer fishing lessons?
Yes. Lessons and guided experiences are available through our partnership with Oban Angling Adventures.

What wildlife might we see?
Wildlife regularly seen across the estate includes deer, eagles, buzzards, kingfishers and a variety of native Highland wildlife.

Travel & Access

How far is the estate from Oban?
Etive Estate is approximately a 20-minute drive from Oban.

Is the estate accessible by public transport?
Taynuilt railway station is located nearby, with regular connections along the west coast line. Oban also provides ferry, rail and coach connections. Transfers can be arranged please contact the estate team directly through our website enquiry forms or by email at info@etiveestate.co.uk. 

Do you have EV charging?
Yes. EV charging facilities are available on the estate.
